Ian Villarreal is a Registered Nurse in the state of Pennsylvania and has been working at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania since 2008.  But that is the just the middle of the story ...

           Ian Villarreal is an accomplished Massage Therapist specializing in Deep Tissue and Sports massage designed to relax and rejuvenate. He started his practice in 2001 and has spent many years making house calls and working in various gyms throughout Philadelphia.  Ian even spent several years at the renowned Toppers Spa on Rittenhouse Square in Center City, Philadelphia.  

              Transition came in 2008 when Ian decided to take it a step further and became a Registered Nurse. Select private appointments were still taken but Ian left the spa environment and entered the health field.  

             In addition to this, Ian has been studying Seven Mountains Spirit Fist Kung Fu (Thất Sơn Thần Võ Đạo), as taught by multi-time world champion Master Phuoc Phan, for more than 15 years. Spirit Fist Kung Fu is an animal style that embodies the duality of hard and soft, internal and external to accomplish martial prowess and inner calmness.              

             Ian Villarreal was given the title Sifu as a certified Thần Võ Đạo instructor in 2009.  With Master Phan's blessing, Sifu Ian has now decided to spread this great art beyond Philadelphia.  Seven Mountains Kung Fu, along with personalized massage treatments, are now available at Open Hand Studio in Ardmore, Pa.
