Ian Villarreal graduated from The Massage Arts Center of Philadelphia in 2002 with honors.  Along with college level Anatomy and Physiology, Ian was trained in Swedish massage, Deep Tissue massage, Reflexology, and basic pressure point Shiatsu. 

       While developing his practice, Ian worked in select gyms and spas within Philadelphia. Most notably Ian worked at Toppers Spa on Rittenhouse Square in Center City Philadelphia, where he learned Hot Stone massage and eventually became a Floor Supervisor. 

        Ian specializes in the upper body.  He feels that people's back, neck, and shoulders carry most of their stress in this modern society. Ian also has an affinity for foot reflexology which he likes to add to most of his sessions.

       Ian is NOT a Licenced Massage Therapist (LMT). When Ian was initially trained and practiced, there was not a governing body for massage therapists. During the time Ian spent as a Registered Nurse, the State of Pennsylvania has instituted licensure for massage therapy.

 

      During this transition Ian became involved with the Universal Life Church and was ordained as a Minister of this multi-denominational organisation. With his ordination, Ian has incorporated his Chi Kung (energy movement) training with his massage training to create his own style of "Hands on Healing"
